My dearest Claire, 

You are 5 months old, wow. 

You are growing into such a little lady with an amazing personality. 

You are SO talkative, I really want to know what you are thinking. 

You love the ABCs and Old MacDonald. 

You are curious and inquisitive. 

You have two little, very sharp teeth. 

You sleep through the night only with fishies, lullabies, and owlie light. 

You love toes, yours, Daddy's, really any toes. 

You love to go on adventures.

You giggle and smile all the time.

Claire Bear HIJACK!!

Hi friends, it's me, Claire Bear! Mama has been a bad blogger and I have been doing some amazing things, so I have hijacked my own blog to tell you all about it...

First, I rolled over! So exciting and maybe a little scary, but they clap when I do it, so pretty sure it is cool! 

I turned four months old and took some cutie pictures even after some shots at the doctor!! 

Yep, two teeth! 

So happy it is football season, college and professional, I enjoy it from any seat in the house! 

Sleeping at the dinner table, this is the life! 

Grabbing anything that comes my way, especially during playtime! 

Sleeping on my tummy for nap times and all through the night!

Like a boss!

Dear sweet daughter, 

You are holding up your head like a boss, Claire Bear. You have two little teeth and have become obsessed again with your hands, either staring at your fingers or sticking them in your mouth. I love watching you grow. Every day is a beautiful adventure. Keep it up little lady!

the Bear & the Baseball

Dear sweet Claire, 

We went to Grandma & Grandpa's house and I dressed you in an uber girly pink outfit complete with a tutu! 

Of course we watched baseball and you couldn't keep your eyes off the TV. From the picture it appears we have created a sports addict and at such a young age!!

Bear at three months

Dearest Claire,

You are three months old!! 

I love to watch you think and concentrate, listen to you giggle and coo, and my heart melts when you smile at me.

You love your fingers and gnaw on them frequently. You kick your long legs when you are excited. You love being social and have definitely captured all of our attention.  You are very talkative and express yourself so well.

My world has been forever changed by you and I wouldn't have it any other way.

The Giggling Bear

Dearest Claire Bear, 

You giggled this past weekend and it was such a sweet and lovely sound. After you giggled, you looked at us and wondered what that sound was. Your Daddy and I looked at each other and laughed, which caused you to smile and giggle some more. Many giggles are created after hearing one of Daddy's funny voices. Slowly you will learn that all those sounds are coming from you! 

I love watching you grow and learn more and more everyday. Keep on giggling my little love!

Guess what?!?

Claire Bear wants everyone to know that she went to her first Angels game this week! She thought it was so much fun, she loved the fireworks, and was able to meet a new friend. Even though she had to leave early because she totally pooped through two onesies, Claire was able to see her first 'crush' Mike Trout! I think many Angels games are in her future!

Dear sweet Claire, 

I love to watch you with your Daddy. You bat your eyelashes at him, smile when he walks in the room, and wrap your little fingers around one of his when he feeds you. 

One day we were hanging out and I heard the garage door open, indicating Daddy was home. As soon as I announced that, you looked around to find him. What a sweet moment!!

You are his daughter, his baby girl, and he loves you so much. He is an amazing husband and father, so continue adoring him Claire!

Another bow Mama, really?!?

Dearest Claire, 

Before you were born, I wasn't too thrilled with the idea of dressing you in pink and putting bows on your head daily. No girly girl for me! What I didn't know was how darn cute you would be in bows and any shade of pink! 

Sometimes I put you in headbands and bows and I get pictures with an expression that reads, "Mom, really?? I thought you were not going to make me a pink girly girl and yet another bow? Please."

In the midst of all this royal baby hoopla, you reminded us who the real royal baby is in our household, you! You are definitely spoiled, I mean who could possibly resist that adorable face!?! You are the princess and right now I wouldn't have it any other way.

Dearest Claire, 

Mama loves you. I say that to you multiple times every day and that won't change, so deal with it little lady! I loved you in the womb and that love only increased once they put you on my chest seconds after your birth. At times, the love I have for you is overwhelming. In the beginning of your little life I had trouble dealing with it because sweetheart, postpartum emotions are no joke! Daddy was amazing and reminded me of the love God has for us, His children, and we are so blessed to have just a taste of that love for one another, especially for our children. God has given me the capacity to love you and I am so thankful.

Two months?!?!

Dearest Claire Bear, 

Oh how I love thee! You have taught me so much in such a short time.

1. Loving you is a small, minute glimpse of the amazing love God has for His children.

2. You have taught me to savor every moment, to drink in all the smiles, all the grasps of your fingers around mine, the beauty of your sleep. Don't rush, just be still and savor. 

3. I never knew I could be so excited about poop. I mean, I texted about your poop, crazy. 

You have radically changed my world and I love it and wouldn't have it any other way. You are a miracle. The past two months has been the most beautiful months of exhaustion and excitement. Daddy and I are so thankful we have been blessed with such a smart and beautiful daughter.
